About thresholds

In the "Thresholds" menu, it is possible to set threshold values for different patient groups.

In "Create Patient Flow", the thresholds assigned to the patient groups for the patient being created will be used as default values for that patient. 

It is possible to adjust these assigned default values for the specific patient in the patient menu.

Add patient group threshold

Under the "Thresholds" submenu, all patient groups are displayed in tables that show their pre-existing thresholds.

  1. Once you have selected the patient group to which you want to add a threshold, click "Add Threshold".

A pop up appears.

  1. From the drop-down list, click the type of measurement you want to add.

More options are displayed.

  1. Enter the rest of the information. Also choose between a relative or total threshold.

  2. Click "Create".

Threshold Types

Relative Thresholds

When you add or edit a threshold, it is possible to create a "Relative Threshold".

  1. Click the "Threshold Type" selector and select the type of relative threshold.

  2. Enter the relative values for the patient measurements. Relative values are percentages compared to previous measurement values.




Note

A message is displayed when a relative threshold value is higher or lower than the selected % value. 

The first measurement always shows an orange review because the patient has no previous measurements to compare the measurement with. 

If an orange review appears, the clinician should evaluate the patient measurement.


The different relative threshold types

  • relative to the patient's highest value patient

  • Relative tillaveste value patient

  • Relative oversee neste value patient

  • Relative tilhøjeste value of the last N days

  • Relative to the lowest value posted by the patient in the last N days.

Aggregate Thresholds

When you add a new patient group, regardless of type, it is possible to make it aggregate. 

This means that a measurement must exceed the threshold for at least a certain percentage of the most recent measurements. 

  1. Click on the "Measurement type" selector and select a measurement type.

  2. Click the "Threshold Type" selector and select a threshold type.

  3. Click the "Aggregation" checkbox to enable aggregation and enter a value for the percentage and number of measurements

  4. Enter the threshold limits.

  5. The aggregation information is now displayed in the threshold table.



Example of aggregate threshold

If an aggregate threshold is set to 40% of the last 5 measurements, this means that at least 2 of the last 5 measurements, including the most recent, must exceed the threshold (be it absolute or relative).

If there are not enough previous measurements to evaluate an overall measurement, the measurement is displayed as orange.
